Kevin Augello

With a career spanning three decades, Kevin is a seasoned British documentary and factual filmmaker. He has partnered with major broadcasters like the BBC, National Geographic, and Discovery, as well as NGOs such as WWF, WarChild, and UNICEF. His diverse portfolio includes executive producing, directing, and shooting documentaries across 130+ countries, tackling subjects from Mount Everest climbs to child slavery in the Congo.

Kevin’s expertise extends to all stages of production, from development and pitching to final delivery. He is a skilled problem solver with a vast network of contacts globally. His experience ranges from directing short films and commercials to feature-length documentaries, working with high-profile talent and everyday people alike. As a Director of Photography, he is proficient in a wide range of cameras and technologies, including drone piloting and 4K+ shooting.

A Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and a member of the Guild of Television Cameramen, Kevin combines a deep understanding of the world with technical expertise to create impactful visual stories.

Stichting FilmTent

Stichting FilmTent was set up to support the Rotterdam film scene and to become a hub for all things film. FilmTent has produced films that have showed at numerous film festivals, including IFFR & TIFF, as well as producing commissioned works for public broadcast stations such as BNN. Stichting FilmTent also actively advised and coaches new filmmakers – helping them discover opportunities and sharpen their skills. In addition, FilmTent is currently an advisory member of the Rotterdam Writers Rooms, a development pathway for script writers to develop their skills.

Elmer Laan

Elmer has a wide range of knowledge and experience that have been built up over his years doing various jobs and exploring various interests. Alongside having taught a variety of subjects including swing dancing and audio engineering, he worked as the Academic Coordinator for SAE in The Netherlands, helping to strengthen the program delivery, as well as leading the campuses through a major revalidation event. 

The things that make him happiest are: playing drums in his swing band; The Belvedere Swing Cats, taking photos. making videos, getting out into nature, and playing board games with friends.  

Elmer is a freelance photographer and videographer who is currently working on directing his first short film as well as developing a concept for a limited run TV series.
