Every filmmaker knows that Murphy’s Law seems to apply double-time on set: a sudden rainstorm during an outdoor shoot, a key piece of equipment malfunctioning at the worst possible time or crew stuck in traffic, all leading to production delay.

Proper preparation is therefore crucial – and even more so when filming in potentially risky environments internationally, or even at home. Our comprehensive course will equip you with the essential skills to thrive in any environment, turning potential disasters into opportunities for cinematic brilliance.

Led by Kevin Augello, a documentary filmmaker with over 30 years of experience filming in high risk environments from conflict zones such as the Congo to extreme weather regions such as Mount Everest, this course will cover the following topics:

This course covers everything from documentation, dealing with authorities, disaster preparedness, transportation, logistics and more!

We will provide tea and coffee throughout the duration of the course. For meals there are a plethora of options, including an Albert Heijn within 5 minutes of the location. There is a microwave on site.
